MAX CONSTRUCTION PLC was established in Ethiopia in May 2017 as a Grade 1 building contractor. Headquartered in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, the company has completed and is currently undertaking the following projects:
1. ) Completion by late 2018 of the Shegole and Kality bus station fit-out projects, contracted by China State Construction Engineering Corporation.
2. ) The Ethiopian National Petroleum Headquarters Office Building Project: This project was undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ethiopia Branch as the main contractor. MAX Construction was responsible for the high-end finishing works on the 15-storey main office building. Scope included optimising construction plans, material procurement, and decoration works. The total project duration was 183 days, completed on schedule.
3.) Ethio Telecom Headquarters Building Project: This project was undertaken by China Overseas Engineering Group Co., Ltd. as the main contractor, with MAX Construction Company subcontracting part of the telecom building works. The scope primarily comprised three sections:
(1) Civil engineering works for the Telecom Headquarters Assembly Hall, including reinforced concrete and earthwork formwork. Completed;
(2) Steel grid structure works for the telecommunications headquarters conference hall, encompassing structural reinforcement, material procurement, concealed works installation, and fitting-out. Completed within the 180-day schedule;

(3) Interior finishing and mechanical/electrical installations for the telecommunications headquarters office building.
4.) Tesema Apartment Project (B+G+8): This project involves a turnkey contract between an Ethiopian local developer and MAX Construction Company. It comprises one basement level and nine above-ground storeys of apartments, with 14 designated parking spaces. Four distinct apartment layouts have been designed to accommodate varying tenant requirements. The scope of works encompasses the main structure and interior finishing, with a total construction period of 15 months. Completion is scheduled for April 2022.
5.) Deri Dawa Dry Port Project: The main contractor for this project is China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Ethiopia Limited. MAX Construction is responsible for the main structure, electrical and plumbing installations, and interior finishing works for the warehouse and integrated maintenance workshop. The total construction period is 8 months. Currently, the steel structure hoisting for the warehouse has been completed, and the main structure of the maintenance workshop has been topped out. The entire project is scheduled for completion in October 2021.
Beyond construction operations, the company maintains a long-term, stable client base in Ethiopia for trade activities. Products encompass bulk commodities including building and finishing materials, PVC ceiling panel raw materials, tyres, glass, galvanised iron sheets, and various steel products.
